this star is the new "opposite". It's usually brighter than 10mag, so even a small telescope can pick it up, but it seems to be blowing dark material irregularly into its surroundings, reducing its brightness 100 times to 15mag. After a few weeks, when its veil has dissipated into its surroundings, it will shine back to its original brilliance.
