--- name: Lepus created_by: skybber created_date: 2021-07-10 08:30:38.421929 updated_by: skybber updated_date: 2021-07-10 08:30:38.422179 --- A small but relatively prominent constellation in the southern sky, lying just below Orion. The constellation is not hard to find as it is a fairly distinctive grouping of brighter constellations. Because of its more southerly declination, however, we must wait for its culmination to best see its objects. For a triad or small telescope, however, only the globular cluster M79 and the blood-red crimson star of Hind are worth the effort to find. ![<]($IMG_DIR/cons/Lep.png)
