A clear long-period variable star belonging to the Mirid group, one of the brightest red variable stars, whose brightness varies between 2.6mag and 6.2mag in a period of 141 days. In its maximum, it is therefore very well visible even from illuminated areas, but in its minimum, it drops to the limit of visibility with the naked eye.
