its slow rotation points to the possible existence of a planetary system and thus to the possibility of the formation and existence of life in this yellow dwarf star similar to the Sun (in terms of temperature and luminous power). It would be one of our closest planetary systems, 11.85 ly from Earth. That's why it was chosen for the Ozma project, which aims to make contact with possible nearby civilizations on radio waves. Along with the epsilon star Eridani, it was also selected for the original SETI (Search for Extra.Terrestrial Intelligence) research project.
