lies on the doubly elongated Schema-Markab conjunction of the stars of the constellation Pegasus. At 1.2mag, yellow-white Fomalhaut is just 25 light years away and is one of the 20 brightest stars in the sky. Compared to the Sun, it is more than twice the diameter and exceeds our star 16 times in luminosity. |
