It is targeted by the fourfold elongated downward conjunction of the stars of the Big Dipper's axis. Arcturus is the nearest orange giant, 35 light-years away and about 30 million km across, and is 20 times larger than the Sun, but exceeds it by up to 100 times in luminosity.
